Songs around the campfire

Chris and Tory Christensen
Long Beach, Washington / June 2008

Tory and his Dad love to sing together - especially around the campfire. What do they sing? A few Wiggle songs but mostly, its the good old country hits from days long gone.... stuff by Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and Hank Williams.
Put another log on the fire because they guys are good! And it is soooooo fun to sing along :)

Wiggle Like a Fish Review in Washington State Magazine (Summer 2008)

"Wiggle Like a Fish" by Tory Christensen ...
"It’s immediately apparent, as you listen to the 11 songs on Wiggle Like a Fish—all written by the performer—that Christensen’s mission is to exert as positive an influence on children as his father exerted on him. Song after song promotes values of self-esteem, good judgment, thoughtfulness, cooperation, courtesy, kindness, imagination, and love."

Wiggles and Tory at Tri-Tech Preschool in Kennewick, WA

(Tri-Tech Gets Wiggly with Wiggles and Tory Christensen)

(Wiggles and Tory at Tri-Tech Preschool)

April 24, 2008 - Special thanks to all the students and leaders at Tri-Tech Preschool for the very fun morning and afternoon! We loved being a part of your day ... :)

We loved having Wiggles and Tory singing with the children. It was fun how Wiggles (without using any words) communicated with the children. We especially appreciated how Tory was sensitive to the individual children. If a child raised their hand he made sure to call on them and listen attentively to each response.
It was better than anything we had imagined.

An Inspirational hour at Hanford High School ...

(Ben Archibald & Tory talking to students at HHS)

(Tory and students at HHS)

April 17, 2008 - Tory Christensen spent some quality time on stage with the freshman class at Hanford High School ... he taught them the 5 points on the Success Star and encouraged them to set goals and plan for their future.

He was joined on stage by his friend – Ben Archibald who played in the NFL. Ben shared his story of being a member of the New Orleans Saints and told stories about the challenges he faced personally and as a member of the team after Hurricane Katrina. (It was very inspiring!)

Together, they provided a very fun, educational and entertaining hour.

Now the Richland man uses the instrument to write tunes of his own -- gentle melodies with a subtle country lilt that remind kids to say please and thank you, believe in themselves and have a little fun."

Music Review in Playdate Magazine

Playdate Magazine
(Magazine for Yakima Valley Parents)

Dance, Wiggle and Moo
"Wiggle Like a Fish" by Tory Christensen
Reviewed in Playdate Magazine DEC 07/JAN 08 Issue
"Richland father Tory Christensen's "Wiggle Like a Fish" is feel-good country folk that sends the grumpies packing and encourages kids to practice good manners - thankfully without shrill voices or annoying preaching. It's the kind of music you don't mind having stuck in your head, lending a wink of hope that the song's positive messages also might stick with your kids ..."
